ABOUT JAKE

Jake Silbermann was born June 1, 1983, and is a native of New York City. He graduated with a B.A. in Theater from Syracuse University, where he participated in many productions including Three Sisters and True West. He played a leading role in the 2006 film, Brunch of the Living Dead.

The 6'1" brown haired, blue eyed actor joined the cast of As The World Turns in March 2007 and attended the GLAAD Media Awards with co-stars Van Hansis and Jennifer Landon two months before he even aired. His onair debut was on June 1, 2007, in the role of Noah Mayer. Noah's romance with Luke Snyder has been a huge hit with fans and was featured on Entertainment Tonight.

Prior to joining the cast of ATWT, he appeared in a national television ad campaign for Gillette Fusion Power. In his spare time, he enjoys working out and cooking.

Favorite childhood memory:
My dad teaching me how to swim.

If I had one super power, it would be:
Teleporting, as long as I could always bring at least one person with me.

If I had a time machine, I would go:
I wouldn’t want to use a time machine.

Favorite holiday:
Thanksgiving! I love that time of the year, getting together with family and friends, and of course the food!

Favorite season:
It used to be fall but summer is so much fun.

Favorite vacation spot:
I love visiting my family in London but my favorite place to unwind is the beach.

Something I have done in my life that no one would guess I’ve done:
Ridden elephants in Botswana.

Biggest pet peeve:
Self-importance.

Hidden talent:
I know the basic forms of fencing.

That we’ve damaged our earth irreparably.

One of our Thanksgiving dinners.

Least favorite place in the world:
Any place can be bad if you aren’t prepared to enjoy it for what it is.

My cousin James Harding and my parents.
